    Planning Your Bangkok Visit

    When to go?

The best time to visit Bangkok is from November to January, known to the Thais as the “cool season.” The weather is still hot and humid, but it’s the only time of year you won’t sweat in minimal clothing. Well, at least not as much!

    How many days?

You’ll need to spend at least 3 nights in Bangkok to make it worth your while, but you should go for a week if you can. It’s worth staying even longer to see more of Thailand as a whole!

    Where to stay?

Before booking your stay, consider what you want out of your visit. If it’s a quick trip, then it might be worth staying in Rattanakosin, or “Old Bangkok,” where most of the city’s historic sights are located. Sukhumvit is lively and upmarket but still a hub of tourism, and the financial district of Silom becomes the city’s party capital by night. For something a little quieter, book a hotel near Banglamphu.

What people are saying about Bangkok

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Breathtaking and well organised experience
This trip is absolutely worth it. Our tour was private, so it was just the two of us being driven around in a well-air conditioned car. The waterfalls are stunning.

You can choose to go and see all 7 of them (walking up hill in high humidity can be quite a challenge to see the last few ones, and the path can be quite slipper – wear good water shoes), but don’t worry if you don’t fancy that – the first few waterfalls are all equally beautiful and not very challenging at all to get to. The water is nice and cool, a welcome refreshment from the heat/humidity with lots of fish swimming about. Some waterfalls you can slide down to the lake below.

There are toilets around to get changed, some minor souvenir shops. Kwai Bridge, Buddha cave and railway ride also great. Our lunch was traditional Thai food (soup, sweet and sour chicken and some fruit). Last but not least he guide and the driver were great – well-informed and polite. Highest quality experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐What an amazing experience, Sarah was Phenomenal!!
If you’re considering a floating market tour, look no further than Big Country Vacation in Bangkok for an unforgettable experience.

We had the pleasure of having Sarah as our tour guide on this 6-hour tour to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Sarah is so knowledgeable, informative and most importantly she’s very kind and makes sure you feel taken care of during your tour.

Initially, I considered visiting Damnoen Saduak without a tour company, I am so glad I decided not to do that. This was my first time visiting Thailand and the knowledge Sarah has about Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and all the other landmarks you’ll pass on the way is priceless. If your visiting Thailand definitely add this tour to your list of things to do and hopefully you’ll also be able to experience this amazing tour and have Sarah as your tour guide!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐A Good tour to do to get a glimpse of parts of Thailand
This Day involved seeing the Summer Palace and then a few of the older Temple sites and a modern Temple.

The guide for the day – although informative spend a bit much time talking and explaining at the signs rather than letting us see the places. At the Summer Palace, in particular, a lot of people on the tour departed to see the place – it was extremely hot standing in the one place listening.

Then a river cruise and a very nice lunch on the way back. I had been told to be there at 7 am – which meant I left my hotel at 5.30 to avoid traffic. However, we did not leave until well after 8 am. So there was a lot of waiting around to get going. Maybe they could be a little clearer on the time the tour would actually leave as I could have enjoyed a bit more sleep and been better prepared for the day. Overall it was a good experience and enjoyable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Very good value for money. Tour guides were great help
The day was planned very well. All activities was good. Water walking. And paragliding was Awsome.

The beach we visited was beautiful, not too many tourists on it. The only thing will say make people aware they have pay for toilets & lockers on islands. Overall would recommend. But make sure you go with an English speaking tour guide if your English.
